About the Project Management Professional certification
The Project Management Professional certification is Hootix's flagship project-leadership credential, built to rival and exceed the real-world PMP. It validates that you can lead teams and deliver outcomes across the full spectrum of delivery approaches — predictive (waterfall), agile, and hybrid — against real business constraints. The exam is organized around the three PMP performance domains: People (42%) — servant leadership, building and developing teams, conflict management, motivation, virtual teams, and emotional intelligence; Process (50%) — managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement, stakeholders, and integration across the full project life cycle and process groups; and Business Environment (8%) — strategic alignment, the business case, benefits realization, compliance, and organizational change. You will be tested to PMBOK depth: building a charter and a stakeholder engagement plan; decomposing a WBS; estimating with analogous, parametric and three-point/PERT techniques; finding the critical path and compressing schedules with crashing and fast-tracking; running earned value management end to end (PV, EV, AC, CV, SV, CPI, SPI, EAC, ETC, TCPI) with worked calculations; quantifying risk with expected monetary value and choosing response strategies; selecting contract types and make-or-buy; and applying quality, communications and integrated change control. The agile and hybrid content covers Scrum roles/events/artifacts, Kanban, velocity, story points, burndown charts, and tailoring. This credential assumes hands-on delivery experience and is suited to practitioners preparing for senior project-management roles. It is approach-agnostic: the principles transfer across industries and frameworks.
